Born and bred in Buffalo NY, owner Jay Slater Charleton came out of the womb with a chicken wing in his mouth. Learning the Buffalo recipe from his father, he would go on to make wings for family and friends and at the urging of a few friends he took it upon himself to enter the 2015 Silver Legacy Chicken Wing Festival. With no prior restaurant experience, no formal training and no business to spe

ak of, he and his crew took the 2nd place People's Choice Award for their wings and 3rd place in the Celebrity Judging category for his newly created Maple Bacon Bourbon, which can be ordered sweet or spicy. After such an overwhelming response at Wingfest, Slater would secure a small loan to purchase the equipment needed to begin to participate in events around the city until he can earn enough to purchase a food truck or even a brick and mortar location. Beside his traditional Buffalo wing Slater also serves a Lemon Pepper Garlic Parmesan(mmm try it drizzled with Buffalo sauce), Maple Bacon Bourbon(sweet or spicy), Hot Buttered Rum(topped with powdered sugar), Jalapeno Margarita, Honey Garlic BBQ, Bloody Mary and savory dry rub. Slater's also offers Chicken Tenders for those who don't like messing with the bone. Look for Slater's at an event near you.

Aug 3rd 2017 we made our first venture with the trailer after two years in a tent.

Good Morning Everyone.

🙏 for all the support so far this summer. It’s been busy and we’ve been selling out everywhere.

So make sure you come see us at Feed The Camel tonight 7/22 from 5-8:30pm. 925 Riverside Dr at the McKinley Arts Center.

Tomorrow 7/23 we will be in the Noth Valleys for Food Truck Thursday. 4-8p at the North Valleys Regional Park

Then Friday 7/24 from 4-9pm back to Idlewild Park for Reno Food Trucks Food Truck Friday.

Next Friday July 31st through August 2nd it’s the Silver Legacy Resort Casino Reno Biggest Little Chicken Wing Festival. Please come out and vote for your favorite wings.
