I read the statement below recently and it really hit home, especially these days. Owning, running and being immersed in this business is driven by love of the craft, wanting to please EVERYONE, and a tad bit of crazy. As we celebrate our 5th year (6th season) here in Rehoboth we would like to thank all of our guests for their never ending support and love and to know that no matter how difficult things ever are/become we are dedicated to working to meet all your expectations! We are blessed with an amazing staff who care about SBC and work tirelessly to serve you and I can’t say enough about them and couldn’t do what we do without them. Thank you for your continued support and we truly appreciate you all!

There are days where the kitchen is backed up, staff is stretched thin, equipment decides to fail at the worst possible time, and somehow the doors still stay open and service keeps moving.

Restaurant people have a different mindset.

They learn how to stay calm while everything around them speeds up, they learn how to read a room instantly. they learn how to keep going even when they’re exhausted because the business depends on it.

It’s one of the few industries where a Friday can feel like controlled chaos, but the team still finds a way to push through together. Most customers never see what happens behind the scenes to make a busy shift work. They just see the finished product.
But owners, managers, servers, bartenders, cooks, and cashiers know the truth.
Every smooth service usually came from a hundred small decisions, adjustments, and recoveries nobody noticed.

That’s why people in this industry tend to respect each other. Because if you’ve lived it, you know how hard it really is.
