Hey there loyal Painted Chef followers! With growing concerns of COVID-19, you’re also probably one of many that have been affected by cancelled events such as church services, weddings, celebration dinners or just getting together with family and friends. We all know that the center of any gathering is the food. You bond over the best pimento cheese you ever had, you joke about the limitless amount you want eat, you search high and low for to-go boxes when it’s time to leave.
Because of new guidelines and for the safety for our community and country, it’s not a surprise catering these events is no longer needed at this time. An unmentionable number of events we were set to cater have been cancelled or postponed a month out and longer.
We of course want everyone to stay safe and healthy. Let’s do what we can now so we can get back to being together again. It’s just not the same on weekends without watching someone load way too much mashed potatoes on their plate.
Keep in mind local business and the hospitality industry, just like this one, during this difficult time. Restaurants, mom and pop shops, any business you can think of that is locally owned and operated are suffering. Odds are you know their names and faces. When you can, please, please shop local. Order their new curbside service or put future orders in for those club shirts, anniversary flowers, or birthday cakes. All helps.
When this all passes we expect to be busier than ever! Folks will want to celebrate everything they had to wait for. And we want to be there! Reach out for all your catering needs and let’s go ahead and get your dates in the books! We can’t wait to see kids struggle with using tongs.
All the best,
Shug
P.S. Nobody beats my meat.
