72 years of barbecue. 72 years of community. 🤠
We recently welcomed some of our local media friends to the Asphalt Cowboys clubhouse to talk about a Redding tradition that has been bringing this community together for generations.
This year marks the 72nd Annual Asphalt Cowboys Community Bar-B-Que at Lake Redding Park.
Mike chatted with Action News Now reporter Timea to share more about what happens behind the scenes and, more importantly, why we keep doing it.
This barbecue is a fundraiser, but the impact goes far beyond one day in the park. Money raised is distributed back into our community to help support local functions and the traditions that make Redding, Redding.
So when you buy a barbecue ticket, you’re doing more than getting a plate of some pretty darn good food. You’re helping the Cowboys keep showing up for this community.
