Hi Bookish Friends!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our discussion of The Calamity Club. It sounds like the overwhelming consensus was: we loved it. Between the twists, the friendships, the secrets, and all the theories floating around the table, it made for one of our favorite discussions yet.

If you weren’t able to make it, I would honestly move this one straight up on your TBR list, it was that good. Full of twists, layered friendships, secrets, and moments that had everyone leaning in. Definitely one you don’t want to miss.

And for our next book… step right up into something a little more mysterious ✨🎪

Our July pick is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

Without giving anything away, this is a beautifully written, atmospheric novel about a mysterious circus that appears without warning and is only open at night. Inside its black-and-white tents is a world of magic, illusion, and wonder where everything is more than it seems, and nothing is quite as simple as it looks. It’s enchanting, romantic, and completely immersive in the best way.

Every good book deserves a soundtrack… and this one? It needed its own entire world 🎪We created a playlist to match The Night Circus full of dreamy, magical, slightly haunting vibes.

Hi Bookish Social Club friends!

It’s time for our June book pick and I am SO excited to dive into this one with you…

Our June read is The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett (yes — the same author as The Help!).

This one is giving Southern charm, grit, friendship, resilience, humor, and unforgettable characters — all wrapped into what feels like a big, immersive story you can really sink into. Set in 1930s Mississippi, it follows a group of women whose lives unexpectedly intertwine in the middle of hardship, secrets, and a little bit of chaos (our favorite kind 😉). I have a feeling this one is going to give us a lot to talk about.

And if you’re an audiobook person… trust me on this one: the audiobook is SO good. The narration completely pulls you into the story and makes the characters come alive. Perfect for summer drives, walks, cleaning the house, pretending you’re productive… you know the drill 😅

You know we love a vibe around here… so naturally, this month’s book comes with a playlist 🎧✨ I pulled together songs that feel like The Calamity Club — moody, soulful, Southern, a little emotional, and perfect for getting lost in the story.
