It's Labor Day weekend and a toasty one at that 🌞. We, like many of you, are enjoying this late summer warm spell while greatly looking forward to the cool days ahead. What better way to celebrate the cool(er) mornings and warm days than a danish that straddles the line between summer and autumn as well! This weekend we're bringing you a spiced (and spiked) pineapple danish🍍. We're adding some warming spices and rum to our buttercream along with the delightful slices of pineapple in top!

We spotted the first few yellow leaves on trees and have been enjoying these last beautiful days of summer. Our delicious pecan pie danish reflects this eagerness to start enjoying fall flavors. We'll have that again this week along with a menu full of staple daily breads, savory focaccia flavors and flavorful pastry.

We just wrapped up another great workshop! Here's your late night menu for this weekend. As it's coming past our usual time, if you could let us know your order by 9am tomorrow (Thursday 8/13) morning that would be great. We'll make sure everything is all set for delivery or pick up on Friday. It may be stormy so we're happy to bring it to you!

You know what my favorite bread is? The baguette. Hands down. No contest. I'm often asked what to do with a baguette. Here's an example of how we used a baguette on Saturday for supper. We made a blend of ground beef and pork (cooked just with some herbs, salt and pepper). Take the baguette, spread some mayo (or the sauce of your choice) pile on the meat and top with Pico de gallo. Done. With the baguette, every bite has all of the textures (crispy, chewy crust and soft crumb in perfect ratio every time). Perfect with a nice glass of wine.

Side note (for those still reading). Did you see the chocolate chip mini baguette in the menu? Those are soft, slightly sweet and buttery and filled with chocolate chips. We'll have them this weekend! We'll see if they become a staple or just a limited bread.

I think this is one of those times where it's just fine to play favorites. The garlic pecorino focaccia and berry lemon danish are definite favorites in our house as well as in yours (thanks for all the feedback!). We've been talking a lot around the office (aka the dining room table) about switching to monthly specials rather than weekly and this seems like a good pair to test that out with. We'd love your thoughts.

One of our most requested sourdough flavors is olive and rosemary; so we're making it in both full AND mini sourdough sizes this weekend! 👏🏼🫒 The kalamata olives we've sourced go so well with the sourdough between their salty nature and the earthiness of the rosemary. All those layers of flavor create such delicious depth to the bread. If you aren't huge on those flavors, we have tons of other savory, sweet and plain options including our popular burger buns (pictured below).

We are happy to deliver right to your door on Friday or pre-order for pick up during our regular hours 10am-2pm.
