I can hardly believe it's been two months.....I keep trying to go through the pictures...each one has a story and I end up off in another direction of memories!
When I decided to start Honey's back in 2012, it was my goal to bring easy, yummy food and mmmmm coffees to you in a place where you felt comfortable. I intentionally left the door open to what might come. And come it did! SO MANY THINGS happened at Honey's that I never could have conceived of on my own - events and people and conversations and ideas that came together in that space. My heart is full with those things! I look forward to meeting you now and saying, "Remember that time....", and sharing those memories with you. I wish I could share with you every story and every memory, and mention every single one of you who made an impact on my life. Thank you. I am deeply grateful that Honey's became a part of the Red Lodge community.
Do you remember that time we made monsters? The plan was that you would come by to work on a monster and then the next person would come add to it, and so on, with the monster getting better and better at each stage. That's how I feel now about Cattail - they get to add to the monster we started - and it keeps getting better!
And now this: it has always been true that small town businesses rely on you folks in order to stay alive and THRIVE! And that's especially true during difficult times, like, ya know, a world wide pandemic. Remember that you vote with your dollars. When there are businesses in your town or the town you're visiting that you like and you want to see them stick around, you must buy stuff!!! Tell your friends, pay it forward, give a gift card, treat yourself.
A special shout always to every single member of the Favero clan - the best family to ever come along with a lease anywhere, ever! To Chef Mel, and to the staff members who came and went and left a mark. To the 'regulars' who weren't able to make it in those last few months. To the people who made a new friend, found a great book, had their first art show, played music, celebrated a birthday, connected, participated in artivism, tried something new, had a "usual", and met a candidate at Honey's. Here's to you!
With love and gratitude,
Kerri
