🌌✨ TWO SKY EVENTS TO WATCH THIS SEPTEMBER!

September is bringing two beautiful reasons to look up! πŸŒ πŸŒ™

🌠 SEPTEMBER LYNCIDS
The September Lyncids are active through September 19, with peak activity around September 12. This is a very weak meteor shower, so you may only catch an occasional fast meteor β€” but dark skies and patience can make the difference.

πŸŒ™ SEPTEMBER 17 β€” MOON & ANTARES
A beautiful waxing Moon will pass very close to Antares, the bright reddish star marking the heart of Scorpius. The pair will appear less than 1° apart, making a striking sight in the evening sky. ✨

September 12 β€” Lyncids peak
September 17 β€” Moon near Antares
πŸŒ‘ Dark skies β€” best for meteor watching
πŸ” Naked-eye viewing is possible for the Moon & Antares

Two different events, two different reasons to step outside and look up. πŸŒŒπŸ’«

Which one are you more excited to see β€” the shooting stars or the Moon beside the red star? πŸ‘‡

Today we remember 9/11, a day of unimaginable loss, but also a moment that revealed the strength and resilience of our people. It was a time when all Americans were just Americans. Let this day remind us that there is no red and blue. There is only red, white, and blue.
