Today we were out in Oakwood Village for a Summer Social Event! They were looking for light and fresh goodies for their attendees. Looks like we delivered, and another successful catering event is in the books!

DID YOU KNOW that Carrot Cake is believed to have originated in England as far back as the Middle Ages? Carrot cake really became popular during World War II, when sugar and other sweet ingredients were scarce. The carrots added the extra sweetness the cake needed. Now a days, it is a favorite around the globe. Most recipes include cream cheese icing and can include extras like pineapple, walnuts, raisins, and even coconut.

If it is one of your faves, don't forget to order a few of our carrot cake whoopie pies. We think they are pretty fabulous (but we might be a little partial)

On my first trip to 🇮🇹 Italy I remember sitting right across from the Coliseum eating fresh pasta for dinner. This reminds me of the view!
The ambiance, simple flavors, and history are just a few of the reasons, I fell in love with the culture and food of this region! ❤️
