For 27 years, we've loved welcoming well-behaved, leashed dogs onto the Parkside & Main deck. Honestly, some of us like dogs more than people. But last week we had our first-ever biting incident, and while thankfully it was a member of our own team (who is ok!) and not a guest or a child, it's made clear that we can no longer take on that liability. We have taken some time to think about how we can handle dogs going forward and we have decided, unfortunately and with slightly broken hearts, that we're no longer able to allow dogs on the deck. This wasn't an easy call, and it doesn't reflect on the many, many wonderful dogs (and owners) who've joined us over the years-it's simply what we need to do to keep our staff and guests safe.
