Our family has been incredibly blessed to grow up in a family business. We worked alongside our parents, learned from them, and picked up life lessons that, at the time, we probably didn’t fully appreciate.
Was it fun cleaning out the bottle chute in the basement? **Absolutely not.** 😂 But there was always a little incentive: if you could teach the next sibling how to do it, you could move up out of the basement! Perhaps, to peeling onions. 😆
Saturday mornings meant endless chores. Washing and wrapping potatoes in foil seemed to take forever. But looking back, those chores taught us something about perseverance, responsibility and taking pride in doing a job right.
Feil’s has never been just a business to us. **This is where we grew up.** It’s our childhood, our teenage years, our family memories—and such a huge part of who we are today.
That’s what makes saying goodbye so incredibly hard.
**To every customer who walked through our doors, shared a meal, celebrated a special occasion, raised a glass, or simply made Feil’s part of your life—thank you.** And to every staff member who worked alongside us over the years, gave their time and talents, and helped make Feil’s what it was—**thank you.**
