We've been in an internal state of processing the way the world operates for a long while now and this business has always been a form of activism. ... as it is, and so it will be. We recognize and revel in the impermanence of all things. So Hum. 🕉

As an environmentalist, humanitarian, yoga therapist, bleeding heart human being, and the founder of Mountain Monk,

I choose to seperate my doings from the doings of the government. I cannot ethically collect taxes for their bad management and greed, or go about business as usual while those in power- take lives, destroy civilizations, steal, and put humanity and our planet in grave danger.

And while this business has been a long journey of dedication, brought to the world from my heart and soul as a sustainability project that has a greater impact for humanity and the planet, its part of the matrix, and someone else has to carry the footprint forward while I move on and into my work beyond this box.

So while this sweet little sanctuary that has been created will continue to exist, it will have a different name and will be someone else's vision carrying it forward. ... I'll share that information as its unveiled.

⚠️WARNING: ETHICALLY CRITICAL POST:

This is an Earthly life and the sad truth is that government agencies are not going to protect us from environmental harm or climate change.

👪The generations to come are not going to live longer than their parents and grandparents because of the exposure to toxic pollutants that exist every day in the air, waters, and foods.

And the Earth that they have been set up to inherit will be vastly different because of global climate changes and lack of protection.

While it sometimes feels like all we can do to protect our nervous system is emotionally bypass these facts and go about our days making the same choices, and put these thoughts off for another day.

If ever there is a day to consider your ecological choices and the issues that we face on a micro and macro level, today would be that day.

So raise your awareness and plant the seeds of change that make a difference to all beings.

There's a lot going on this week and its no secret that we care deeply about the environment. It is one of the WHYS behind our existence.

WEDNESDAY, 10am, there will be a PEACE WALK from the Taos Visitor's Center to Red Willow Park, 10am

At Red Willow Park, 12pm, there will be a TREE PLANTING CEREMONY, kids Earth Day activities, and food.

FRIDAY, 11am-3pm, COMMON UNITY GARDEN PARTY at Mountain Monk to give energy to the Earth, all the world, and contribute to community food equity.

Its a magical Monday. Let's get real ✨️🌎🤍🙏

Can we remember just how blessed, how powerful, and how gifted we are?

Can we remember our innermost strengths and harness aaalllll ✨️ the Alchemy we carry within to rise above the darkness and greed that aims to destroy our will and joy?

Can we build and create from a place of inspiration and turn the mud and destruction to flowers? 🪷

There is a deep understanding that what is happening now, in the world, will be felt for generations to come.

As a humanity we are responsible for protecting the world the next generations inherit. It is our number 1 job as their predecessors.

As we approach another Earth Day 🌎, a day of awareness, perhaps we can take a moment to dream and manifest our gifts into life and bring something positive, gather with community and pay reverence, or sit with the Earth, the mountains, or the waters and just let them know that we are here with them, in alliance, for a better, safer, more loving future.

Perhaps we stop standing by and finally choose to rise up like a strong society in control of our destiny and stand against tyranny, greed, and evil for the sake of all people on Earth, the children to come, our home, freedom, creation, wellbeing, and our global climate.

After much reflection, I'm opening a new chapter for this regenerative humanity coffee house.

The foundation has been laid, is anchored, and the next evolution of this work is ready to be realized.

This space has been created with care- a place for connection, presence, and community. We are open and welcoming you as always.

At the same time, I've always recognized that it has to have more hands, hearts, and minds planting energy than just mine. For it to evolve and thrive others have to be able to come in and plant their visions because I can only take it as far as my own personal experience.

It was never mine to hold and it is ready to be passed on to the hands of someone who aligns with its spirit.

My intention is to ensure that whatever comes next honors the foundation here and continues to serve community with the same warmth and intention.
