Merci to The San Diego Union-Tribune for the lovely words 🗞️
Forty-one years in Rancho Santa Fe, and Monsieur Bertrand still believes the same thing: dinner should be simple, wholesome, and generous. This season he returns to where it all began, the rustic bistro cooking of his childhood in Boussac. A weekly four-course menu, produce from Chino Farm, the fireplace glowing, the patio that quietly becomes the south of France.

Some things are worth keeping. Fashionably late is always welcome. 🍷
