WE ARE BACK!!!! (Well, sort of...)

Your old friends from Plates Kitchen are getting the band back together for a very special evening on Monday, November 10 as Chef David Mitchell presents an exclusive five-course wine pairing dinner, hosted by the lovely folks at Boatman Spirits in Seaboard Station.

This delicious dining experience will showcase some of Chef David’s favorite globally-inspired dishes from our time at Plates alongside killer wine pairings from Owner and Wine Director Justin Gallus. Even more exciting - there will be plenty of familiar faces from the Plates family on hand to entertain you for the evening.

Tickets are first come, first serve and extremely limited.

We hope you can join us for this long overdue reunion of some of Raleigh's most talented hospitality professionals. It will be an evening to remember!

Tonight is our last night serving Chef David's delicious courses to our wonderful friends, guests, and family.

Our private wine dinners have been experiences we have thoroughly enjoyed hosting over the years and this year we are going out with a bang!

Our bar team (some not pictured) have been an integral part of the craft and cultivation of our bar program. We have always worked to encourage our staff to create cocktails, educate themselves on spirits and wine, and experience personal growth in ways that may carry them through life.

To all of our Plates family, new and old, thank you for everything!

The Dream Team, Chef Glen and Chef Tie Whittaker.

Whether you came for brunch or dinner, Chef Glen had a hand in all parts of your meal. He is our dedicated Sous and Chef Dave's right hand man.

His award winning wife, Chef Tie has been the BEST pastry chef to grace us with her delicious creations for over 9 years.

These amazing chefs have been a part of our team for almost as long as Plates has existed. We have not only watched them both grow and succeed professionally, but also continue to watch them grow as a family.

Over this last week of service we will be sharing some of our favorite moments with the world's best staff (and guests!) from the past 10 years. Our Rewind series from some of our best "BTS episodes".  (swipe)

We are kicking this series off with the the man that started it all, Chef Steve Day.

The man we all know and love.  The man with the dream and passion to make it happen.  The man who we carried pictures of on our phones because, 1. He was as elusive as a sasquach, but could draw a crowd for days and, 2. Look at that face.  Who wouldn't want that! 😂
