🔥 HEAT ADVISORY ALERT – EVENT TIME CHANGED 🔥
Due to the anticipated heat and out of an abundance of caution for our attendees, vendors, performers, volunteers, and staff, Fourth on First will now take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4.
While we know this is a change from our original schedule, the safety of our community remains our top priority. By moving the event to the morning, we can provide a more comfortable environment for everyone to enjoy the celebration.
Staff will continue to monitor the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT), which measures heat stress by accounting for temperature, humidity, sunlight, and wind.

Prepare for the Heat:
💧 Drink plenty of water before and during the event
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
🧴 Apply sunscreen and wear a hat or sunglasses
🌳 Take breaks in shaded areas whenever possible
⚠️ Know the signs of heat-related illness and seek assistance if needed
👧🐶 Check on children, older adults, and pets throughout the day
Cooling stations will be available, and emergency personnel will be on site throughout the event.
