Last night, the actions of a few disrupted the peace of many in the Glenwood South district.

While we had zero safety incidents inside Milk Bar, we made the proactive decision alongside other businesses to close our doors, to protect our patrons and staff from the surrounding unrest.

To the people that worked their holiday weekend to serve this community all around us, deserve to go home safely. Gun violence and reckless behavior have no place in our nightlife scene. WE CAN DO BETTER RALEIGH!

We want to explicitly thank the first responders, RPD and EMS, who acted quickly to secure the blocks around Glenwood South. Milk Bar will continue to remain a safe haven for our guests.

Let’s look out for each other, Raleigh. We just want to have a good time!
