David's Dumpling & Noodle Bar David’s Dumpling and Noodle Bar, an unique eatery at the corner of Hillsborough Street and Oberlin Road was established in 2010.

David’s was founded and operated by Chef David Mao, a successful restaurant owner and culinary innovator in Raleigh since 1976. Our menu features Pan-Asian dishes with touches of Chinese, Vietnamese and Malaysian cuisines prepared with the same special flare and craftsmanship that David first showed as head chef of The Eskimo, a Chinese Restaurant in Vietnam, over 50 years ago.

Hey guys! We're sorry to say that this will be our last few days of operation. (Last day July 13th) We've had a phenomenal 15 year run and we've been honored to serve the local community. We owe gratitude to the original chef David Mao, our cooks, dishwashers, managers and all of our front of house staff that we're proud to say have been majority NC State students who have worked hard all while maintaining their academics. Personally the experience has meant a lot to me by continuing a great immigrant legacy of culinary prowess and building personal relationships with the local business/social media community, NCSU community and all the regulars whose friendly faces I kept seeing year after year. I'll treasure the time for the rest of my life. Thank you all!
