He's the best chef, boss, dad, husband, and, of course, the "HL" in HL Catering. And, as of today, he's officially the big 5-0. 🥳

Chef Houston started HL Catering back in 2014 with a dream of bringing great food and great people together around the table across the Triangle. More than a decade later, he’s still the one dreaming up what’s next, steering the ship, and making sure there’s always something amazing coming out of the HL kitchen.

This Labor Day cookout spread feeds 6–8 and comes ready for an easy holiday weekend meal, with petite filet and vegetable skewers, grilled citrus-marinated chicken, grilled corn salad, roasted fingerling potatoes, yeast rolls and butter, and spinach and artichoke dip with crostini.

Happy from the four-legged members of Team HL. 🐾

Hanna + Blake had a vision for how they wanted their night to feel, and we got to translate a little piece of that into the menu. 🥂🍩

Cocktail hour started with passed apps in the courtyard before guests made their way into a reception filled with soft candlelight, fresh greens, and a dinner menu that put a fresh spin on the classics.

And right on cue, the boozy doughnuts hit the dance floor to keep the party going. 💃

We had such a blast dreaming up the perfect menu and watching the whole day come together.

Still reeling from last week's "Best Pairing" win with this dream team at Triangle NACE's Perfect Pairings: Around the Glampfire event. ⛺✨

Chef Devin and Chef Xavier dreamed up a wild-foraged mushroom risotto and rabbit boudin tart, paired with Starrlight Mead's Red Mead from Pittsboro. We're always proud of what comes out of the kitchen, but getting to see our chefs' creativity recognized by our industry friends makes it that much more special.

Thank you to Triangle NACE and everyone who made the night such a fun one. 🙌
