“A delegation of 18 press and communication officials from Zhengzhou, China attending a workshop on Media and Communication at Duke University organized by Dr. Kang Lui, visited the North Carolina China Center where they were greeted by North Carolina China Center Chairman Duane Long, Deputy Secretary of Commerce Dale Carroll and Research Triangle Regional Partnership President Charles Hayes. After their visit at the NCCC, they went to the Legislature Building and met Senator Phil Berger. The eventful day ended at the PNC Arena where Pat Long, Board Member of the Centennial Authority and CEO of Rare Bird Trading Company, hosted the delegation in the Centennial Authority Suite introducing them to the wonderful sport of basketball with an NC State 82 – 64 victory over Boston College. “

Ms. Fangwen Zhou, a Lecturer in the School of International Trade at Hubei University of Economics, recently visited with Duane Long, Chairman of NCCC and an advisory board member of the UNC Global Research Institute and the North Carolina Department of Commerce China Advisory Council. While in the United States, Ms. Zhou hoped to learn about U.S. academic business programs, particularly in the area of international trade.
