Burundi Coffees have begun to arrive...

We have our first Burundi coffee of the season in the Smooth Joe Blend. The Smooth Joe Blend we have today is 75% Kenya and 25% Burundi. This Saturday (July 4th), I'll roast some single origin Burundi for the pour over bar.

I'll also roast a batch of the Kenya to do some brewing experiments with. I am thinking that I might up the percentage of Burundi in the Smooth Joe Blend.

I have attached the image of the roast monitor software of one of the Smooth Joe Blend roasts.

Dutch Cold Brew was made today (6/21/25)...

Today I brewed with the Dutch Cold Brewer some Burundi Kayanza Kimbingo Station which was roasted to a medium roast level. It will be available from Monday until it has sold out. That often takes about two weeks. If you want the "Dutch Cold Brew" when you order "cold brew" be sure to ask for the "Dutch Cold Brew".

Roasting Coffee tonight...

Hi All,
I was just sitting here at the shop, waiting for the roaster and cleanStream to cool down from the roasting I was doing today. I roasted some Dark (SS-427), SJ Blend, Decaf Espresso, and Decaf Drip today.

The SJ Blend is currently 75% Guatemala from Xinebajul and 25% Burundi from Kayanza. Roasted to a City++ (medium roast level).

The SS-427 is also the same 75% Guatemala from Xinebajul and 25% Burundi from Kayanza. Roasted to a French roast level. [I also roasted some to Burnt on my roast scale. :-) That coffee is being shipped to Depew NY for a special customer.]

The Decaf Espresso is a blend from my supplier Sweet Maria's.

The Decaf Drip is a nice coffee from Ethiopia Goudina Guji that was Swiss Water Processed to decaffeinate it. I roasted this to a City (light) roast level.
