We're still keeping an eye out for the weather, but it's not looking great, so for real: if you are like us and don't mind getting wet let us know! We need to have a good idea that we can make it worth the hours of prep and cleanup afterwards. As much as we would love to make a personalized meal for a guest or two, it's not the best financially sound business plan. 😅 So, shout it out! Make a plan to come and see us! If we know we can sell 40 meals in the rain we are So Down to sell 40 meals in the rain, but we do need to know we'll get hopefully Close to that 40.
So tomorrow:📍Vine Grove Optimist Park, 🕔 5-8pm - Are You In?!
In the mean time for a bit of behind the scenes fun:
If you ever spot one of us with a fresh little bandage, there’s a very good chance this guy right here is responsible: Pomodoro. 🍅
He may be delicious, but he’s got a temper.
Our pomodoro simmers low and slow for about two hours, and if you don’t keep it stirred consistently, it starts plotting revenge. We bounce from pot to pot to pot trying to stay ahead of it, because the second you let your guard down, giant lava-like bubbles erupt with suspiciously accurate aim. At this point, we’re convinced the sauce takes it personally. 🤔
We do our best to grab photos of the cooking process along the way, partly to document the evidence after an attack, but mostly because we love letting y’all see a little of the magic behind the scenes. Even if we’ll admit... making a giant pot of red sauce look glamorous is no easy task. 😂
Still, we try our best, and here are a few shots from the battlefields of late:
