NEW KENT, LET’S BRING THIS ONE HOME.

Early Bird Cafe has officially been named one of the Top 5 Best Local Coffee Shops in the Richmond Times-Dispatch!

What started as a dream has grown because of this community. Every early morning, every cup shared, every event, every recommendation and every decision to support local has helped us reach this moment.

We have proudly finished second before, but this year, we are ready to bring the win home to New Kent.

This is bigger than a title. It represents the hard work of our team, the loyalty of our customers and the strength of a community that continues to show up for its local businesses.

⚾️TODAY IS ABOUT MORE THAN COFFEE ⚾️

The New Kent 12U All-Stars have put in the work. Countless practices, long tournament weekends, extra swings, extra throws, and a commitment to getting better every single day have earned them the opportunity to represent New Kent at the Virginia State Tournament.

Today, we have the opportunity to give back.

A portion of all sales at Early Bird Café today will go directly toward supporting these young athletes as they continue chasing their passion and representing our community with pride.

More importantly, today is about showing these boys they don’t just have a team behind them, they have an entire community behind them!

We’re also excited to have Rolling Dough Roadside Bakery on-site with all of her delicious homemade goodies, so come grab a coffee, pick up a sweet treat, and help us support a great group of young men.

Let’s pack the lot, support local, and show these boys what New Kent is all about.

Happy Birthday to Riley! 🎉

Over the last few years, Riley has become such an important part of the Early Bird family. She may be one of the quieter members of our team, but if you’re lucky enough to know her, you know she’s got a sarcastic sense of humor that keeps us laughing and makes her impossible not to love.

Whether she’s serving your morning coffee, keeping things running behind the scenes, or accidentally going viral on TikTok because of her facial expressions, Riley is always unapologetically herself, and that’s exactly why we adore her.

She is the kind of teammate every business hopes for. Reliable, caring, hardworking, and always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed. We are incredibly thankful for everything she does and the role she plays in making Early Bird what it is.

We spent weeks testing, tasting, overthinking, reworking, and saying “wait… what if we put kiwi matcha foam on watermelon?”

Very normal coffee shop behavior, obviously.

Whether you’re heading to the ball field, running errands, or just looking to stock the fridge for the week, we’ve got you covered.
