Hi, I’m Kelsha Sutherland, the owner of The Coffeehouse in Quincy California. Since our amazing customers have kept us going strong for one and a half years now, I thought I’d introduce myself here with some bullet points that make up the eclectic nature of my human journey:
I was born in Fort Bragg CA on a redwood table March of ‘84. I grew up mostly in Butterfly outside of Quincy. I graduated high school, from Plumas Charter a year early in 2001. I went into CNA work and credit that time with getting me comfortable with death and hard conversations. I got married when I was 19, became a foster mom then private adopted my two daughters in So Cal and Georgia.

I’ve been single mom adventuring with my girls for the better part since 2012. I love being a mom. Our logo for our coffeehouse was designed by my friend, using me and my girls as a reference point. Arrroooo. 🐻🐺🦊

I’ve owned a coffee shop in Sierra City and loved hosting the PCT hikers. 🏔️
I’m an energy kinesiologist and specialize in optimizing brain function and releasing trapped emotions in the body. I’ve set my Brain Integration practice on hold a bit, but recently got a space ready for seeing clients again.

I’ve had two out of body experiences and a few near death experiences. Simply, I understand we are eternal. Never ending. Ever evolving. I love sharing that with people. When you get “there” you are still “here.” 🙂

Life is short. I wear the hair and clothes I feel like that day. Yes it’s my hair, I bought it 😉

I own a home in Fort Bragg that I share with others on Airbnb and give Plumas locals the family and friend discount so we all can escape to the ocean for a good price. Let me know if you need the link to book it.

My daughters are now off to their own adventures a lot and this leaves me figuring out what to do with my empty nest. So The Coffeehouse has been a wonderful play ground for my creative expressions. So thankful for my great staff. Happy to create this spot for our community. Thankful for this pack. Thankful for the hugs and words of encouragement. Thankful for you. Aroooo

Do you know that our roaster is right over the hill in Truckee? Do you know that she roasts her organic beans specifically for our elevation? Do you know that our baristas work really hard to pour latte art for your enjoyment? It’s one of the reasons why we order up without lids, so you can see the beauty of your drink.
