On our days we are closed, I try and get all the “fun” paperwork and non cooking things done. Something I have been lagging on is a new Smash Burger Menu…

Every item on our menu is named something or someone with a story behind it. We feel the story is just as important as the food itself. This burger menu we are going all in on Educators. Everybody knows the educator drum I beat everyday, but this time I want to hear everyone else’s drum..

Drop your favorite educator and a story about why this educator means so much. They can be past or present. We will choose names for the new smash burger from the comments. Likes, Hearts, repeated names and the story behind the educator will all be figured in…

An educator to me can be anyone in the school experience of a student; teacher, coach, administrator, secretary, janitor, bus driver, nurses, lunch ladies (and gentlemen)

Celebration Saturday! We celebrate today by givin a shout out to a young man who is a BAMF in my book. I don’t know if I know a busier 6th grader. I have coached him in basketball and he is the type of kid every coach dreams of. 💯% effort at all times…

Plays the trumpet, football, cross country, basketball (just the sports he is currently doing because he plays more), high honors at school…

Growing up in the 90s might have been the greatest time to be alive. We had malls, Saturday morning cartoons, CD players, Nintendo 64 (one of the greatest consoles) PlayStation 2 (one of the other greatest consoles), luck of the draw if the book you had to read was on cliff notes, napster, lime wire, 20 minute download to look at 1 in appropriate picture on the internet….

I mean the list is endless… One of the top would probably be Professional Wrestling; We witness some of the greatest wrestlers ever to grace the ring; Today’s Smash Burger Friday we give a shout to one of my top 5 favorite wrestlers..

Buff “The Stuff” Bagwell: Double Smash Burger, Swiss Cheese, “BLT” Slaw, Pork Belly, Sexy Sauce…

There’s only one place to be today.. We are slingin’ burgers from 11-9…

Thankful Thursday is here!!

Today we give thanks to the District… The District was an area we wanted to be a part of. There were a ton of places we looked at for establishing 8te Open, but the District was a check mark that had to be checked…

This is such a fun event and is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the district…

So looking for some assistance/advice/help…

We have been battling a hot dining room since we opened. We added an extra A/c Unit and had spiral ducted work ran through out the dining room.

All this did was accomplish getting the dining room down from 90 degrees to 80 degrees. Both Units still run continuously while we are open and my utility bill would probably surprise most people…

I guess I’d be okay paying a utility bill that is almost the cost of my rent if the dining room was a nice temperature.
