Serpico's Pizzeria Maui

Hatch and Anthony Serpico opened in the Jersey shores in 1994 and continues here on Maui with the same authentic Italian cuisine! Serpico's history in Italian recipes go back to Italy and continues on with the traditions of a real "Pizzeria". Our Maui location is in tune with having the same theme and feel of our Pizzeria in New Jersey. Our traditional homemade Italian recipes have been in our family for generations! It is a known fact that pizza varies widely in style from region to region, and it’s clear that the thin, hand tossed pizza served at Serpico’s is some of the best pizza on island. See, the proprietor hails from New Jersey (insert your own Jersey accent here) and has 30+ years of experience in the pizza-making profession. This is some good, authentic pizza that is not often found in the middle of the Pacific. We have a huge menu for a pizza joint, with nightly dinner specials like stromboli (similar to a calzone, it’s a pizza “turnover” loaded with sauce, cheese, and your choice of meats and vegetables) lasagne (layers of the heavenly Serpico’s sauce, with alternating fluffy and gooey cheeses and pasta) and ravioli (with chicken pesto mushrooms – oh my!) They also have specialty subs like the pizza steak hoagie with Philly steak, marinara, peppers, onions and provolone, or the buffalo chicken with grilled chicken, ranch and spicy buffalo sauce. On the menu, dinner selections include “traditional classic” Penne ala Vodka, Primavera, Fettucine Alfredo, and Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti. And we have vegetarian selections too! Charles “Hatch” Clarke moved to Maui from New Jersey with his wife and six kids. The pizza-making tradition had been handed down to him by his brother-in-law, who immigrated to New York City in 1961 from Italy, and opened Berardies Pizza in Staten Island. Before moving to Maui, Hatch had owned and operated Serpico’s New Jersey for 15 years. He has a great team with a mix of Upcountry residents, friends and family who have relocated from New Jersey.
