Sometimes the problem isn’t the thermostat… the compressor… or even the furnace.

It’s this little circuit board.

The control board is the brain of your HVAC system. It tells every component when to turn on and off, monitors safety circuits, and keeps everything working together. When it starts to fail, it can create strange, intermittent problems that leave homeowners scratching their heads.

Common signs of a failing control board:
• System won’t start
• Heating or cooling works intermittently
• Blower runs at the wrong time
• Random error codes
• Components have power but won’t operate

This rooftop unit is over 20 years old, and a failed control board had the entire system down. After proper diagnostics and replacing the faulty board, it’s back in service.
