Fire up them pits!!

Pueblo County Sheriff David J. Lucero has lifted the Stage 1 fire restrictions for Pueblo County. Sheriff Lucero made the decision in consultation with county fire chiefs and followed the U.S. Forest Service, which lifted fire restrictions on Thursday for the Pike-San Isabel National Forest. Myself and the wife hit the Pueblo west Farmers market and I was excited to see Zack Mauro with The Farmers Cut his family raises Duroc pork and some beef. We picked up a mixed bag of goodies to include some brats and chorizo. We immediately used the chorizo with some eggs and I will tell you that is the BEST I have ever had. Check them out

We need to clear up some confusion….

We want to thank everyone who stopped by yesterday for our Yard E Que (Yard Sale/BBQ). We missed those of you who couldn’t make it out. We don’t want to give the false impression that we are fully back out there, rather this was a test run on the new bigger smoker.
We sold the big trailer so now we are back to the drawing board with what our new set up and process will look like. Yesterday went pretty well but proved we have a few things to work on before we’re ready to roll.

As you know we have the BEST supporters and some were just a little too excited to share lol. Again we thank you for reminding us that we’re missed and we’re still wanted 😁. It was great to see you all and we can’t wait to see you again.

This was the first rub I used when I started smoking and competing. They have shut down awhile ago but when they announced they were closing I picked up a few bags. Well low and behold I found a unsealed bag of what was regarded as some of the best brisket rub. There is the the secret rub for all of ypu who have followed me since our meger beginnings. Now what to do with it....
