They are made by yours truly, and I pick the fabric based on color preferences/availability to create an apron with a unique design. One of my 2026 highlights was to exist in this space! It was great seeing folks make strides towards creating a better society.

Being given the chance to do what I love, which is teach a cooking class, was a delight. Looking forward to more chances to assist in building community through food.

It has been a WILD winter 🤦🏽‍♀️ Sprained my ankle walking up the street after the 1st snow storm, had a flu run through my house like it was January 2020, and then the blizzard had me locked in my home for almost a week. I'm finally back to catching up to folks. If you have any immediate needs text my business number OR inbox me here! Hope everyone enjoyed like I did, in fact I liked it so much I'm going to keep it going until . I'll keep posting about any black owned businesses or orgs that I learn of that could use your support.

With the storm I decided to take the time to fall back into love with baking. Making bread has been a passion of mines for a while and I tend to get my best food ideas when I'm working on a loaf for family or friends. I've taken off for the most part as I develop a really exciting project starting next month. This will require a lot of planning and I'm ready! Having a full service restaurant kind of killed my passion to create because I HAD to make money which meant less opportunities to take risks. But for those who have truly followed me along this food journey you've seen me creatively reinterperet food in a way that is fun and tasty. I'm hoping to bring that back 😎 Stay tuned and look out for inboxes and emails that will be going out to a small group of folks who I want to take this food journey with. The world is on fire so I'm hoping to serve the food for the repass.

Happy Black History Month! This month was created to highlight the achievements of those who were enslaved here as well as their descendants. To pay homage to success through struggle by those who's ancestors free labor helped literally build this nation. Today I celebrate me! As 1 of less than a 5 black owned chef/owners in RI my existence within the local food scene is black history. I choose to be what I never saw growing up in RI which is the home my ancestors found once leaving slavery in Virginia. To have roots that run deep here and being able to add to the food scene in anyway has been beyond humbling. It has been and will continue to be my goal to represent what I see so little of which is black owned and operated from scratch cooking here in little old Rhody! So take this month to meet or find a local descendant of those who were enslaved here and also works in the food systems and learn about barriers that are still in place that we the few are fighting to combat. To my fellow few may this month bring you new customers and opportunities.

Hey y'all! Still getting rid of stuff from the dinning room including this. I'll be moving it into storage this week unless someone wants to make an offer. It's valued at $7,000 and is in good condition. Also if you refer someone and they buy it I'll pay you $300. The money from this will help do 3 things: 1) Keep me off the streets while I transition from full time business to catering and community events 2) Help me be able to support community members with free meals (starting soon) 3) Invest in supplies for doing online cooking demos/classes that I can hopefully start offering for FREE next month 🤞🏽 These cooking demos/classes will help folks learn how to cook for the economy as well as have tips on how to create great food and pasteries without access to the often expensive equipment most use. Feel free to inbox me with any questions. Thanks!!!

To think I've spent more than half of my life showing up to protest and march as my ancestors did generations before and yet still. Still there is so much to be done. At a time when the world seems to be ablaze remember that silence is complicity, and can be equally as damaging. Only truth can shame a lie, but truth doesn't matter if it isn't spoken as loud and with as much force as the lie. We are in a time when ALL of our voices are needed to combat the lie and to attempt to finally begin the road to building a country that sees all people as created equal. Remember the US was never started as a place that desired freedom for all! It's core beliefs are built on the murder of the indigenous, the enslaving of Africans, and the overall mistreatment of any and all people of color. Like a building if the foundation is rotten no structure built upon it will last. We are finally seeing what happens when rot is the foundation as is here in America. May we all become skilled in finding it, taking it out, and rebuilding for a better and stronger society. My dream as always been to be alive long enough to see the beginning of a shift and for this I am happy.
