PVD!!! You all showed up and showed out! Thank you for helping to make our 5 year celebration a success. We had such a good time that we are going to start soon so we can bust out the porron more often and maybe get that smash burger back on the menu once in a while.

I can’t say it enough: I love my team and this space! Thank you!

Didn’t know where to begin with this one, so I guess I should start from the beginning. Samir here, the owner at Palo, and when I first signed a lease in 2019 to open a restaurant in a new city, the world was quite a different place. Fast forward to March 2020 and we were about 2 weeks from opening when the COVID shut down happened, and we had to pivot. We finally opened on August 30, 2020, which happens to be 5 years tomorrow.

It was difficult to summarize the last 5 years in just 20 pictures, but here they are. I will never be able to put into words what this place and these people mean to me. Palo was and is a passion project and I am so very grateful to all of the wonderful people who have helped make this a reality.

To my team current and past: I love you and I hope you know that. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people over the years. Thank you forever! Rest in peace Henry and King.

To our guests: You are the best. You provide the vibe that makes us what we are. I love to look across our space and see all that Providence has to offer.

To Providence: Thank you! Thank you for adopting us and for letting me adopt you. I love this city.

To All of You: LET’S PARTY!!! Saturday and Sunday we are going to be busting out the porrons, featuring new seasonal items, unveiling a late night menu with bar food favorites, giving away tapas, and in general, celebrating all of the amazing people that have made Palo.

Muchas gracias al hermano y . 2025 will mark 5 years of Palo after opening in the midst of the pandemic in September 2020. We are planning to celebrate proper this year with seasonal fiestas…keep an eye out for the first this Spring.
