Happy Monday Prosper!
We had a contest that ran from this past Thursday to Sunday - for any dollar donation to the Tuman Breast Cancer Foundation you would be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift card.

We had 26 donations (so awesome!) supporting the TBCF and its founder Natalie Rapp Tuman's amazing work.

So, two things!

Hey Prosper!
You may or may not know that we also built and run the event venue Verona Villa in Frisco. We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary on October 1st!

Over the 10 years we have had the pleasure in honor of hosting hundreds of nonprofit events helping to raise more than $3 million for incredibly worthy missions.

One incredible nonprofit I personally support is Leia's Kids created by the amazing Leia Hunt Toellner!

Leah is a multiple time survivor of childhood cancer and created this amazing nonprofit that cares for children and their families fighting this fight.

We will be hosting the second annual Hope In The Kingdom - A Royal Ball and our family invites you and yours to experience this exciting event for yourself and provide loving support to some amazing children and their families.

The day we were getting our fire inspection for our Certificate of Occupancy, a contractor saw a loose wire in our new hood system and trying to be helpful, attached the wire to the wrong place frying our fire panel.

This looked like a situation that could take days to rectify and I needed our CO that day. Needless to say, I was stressed out.

A few minutes later I got a call from a number I did not recognize and when I answered I heard, "Hi Jason, this is Prosper Fire Rescue Chief Blasingame".

The Chief went on to say Inspector Hoelscher notified him of our situation and I had his total support to work through the issue. It meant everything to me.

My grandpa who passed when I was 10 years old was a fire fighter and my hero. I spent my early years in fire stations with him and his colleagues so these heroes have always had my respect and admiration.

Fortunately, we were able to get the fire panel parts replaced and reprogrammed that same day achieving the CO in the nick of time.

Adding a full commercial kitchen, grease trap, elevator new electrical service and panels, new gas meters, switching out HVAC rooftop units - all into an existing space - is not a small matter.

But, having professional leadership that also cares about supporting a small business owner like Chief Blasingame is extra special.

I created a the Gene P. Plet Memorial Scholarship 2 years ago through the Frisco Education Foundation for a student pursuing a degree in the area of public safety. Our first 2 recipients are a young man attending Texas Tech and a young lady attending Collin College pursuing careers in Fire Departments.

I look forward to expanding this to the Prosper Education Foundation Foundation this next Spring.

Hey Prosper!
Let's have some fun! My amazing friend Natalie Rapp Tuman created the Tuman Breast Cancer Foundation and does tremendous work.

Natalie is an inspiration to me and I am a HUGE fan. Her foundation leans into Esther 4:14 which says "Perhaps this is the moment for which you were created”. Plus, my birthday is 4/14!

So, let's try something fun. Anyone who makes any dollar amount donation to the TBCF from now thru Sunday 8/30 will be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift card to 1902 Prosper, TX plus an invite to our soft opening.

All you have to do is comment below that you donated any amount - you do not have to share the amount. Just give something and you are in the drawing which we will announce the winner on Monday 8/31 in honor of my wife Christy's birthday.

Hey Prosper!
Such a special day! Let me take you back to when I first was presented the opportunity to buy the building at 209 W. Broadway.

It was love at first sight and I immediately knew we could bring a hospitality experience that honored Prosper's history and could be a place to create memories for generations to come. And of course delicious food & spirits.

But there was another thing that popped up - this building built in 2024 was not accessible to all.

Candidly, I immediately thought of my friend Amanda Baze Hall. Amanda and I have been friends for more than a decade. She was honored as 2011 Ms. Wheelchair Texas. Prosper residents may remember her as the Executive Director of the Prosper Chamber of Commerce and she is an amazing mom to her lovely daughter Avenly.

When I first took in the view from the rooftop patio, all I could think was my friend Amanda couldn't share this view with me. Amanda is an advocate for accessibility who always handles her feedback with grit and grace. She inspires me.

So, even though the original builder was somehow permitted not provide access, I knew putting in an elevator was a dealbreaker. I could not imagine a world where I leave my friend downstairs.

Today, as we are getting ready to open our doors to y'all, my friend Amanda stopped by and we went up to the rooftop to take in the view we will all be sharing together in our new place, 1902 Prosper, TX and Mary Ann's Speakeasy.

I realize you don't all know me and friendship & trust are built over time but I wanted to share this with you to begin to understand who we are and why we are so excited to welcome you to our version of Hospitality.

Along with adding a $750k+ new commercial kitchen I installed a 3,000 gallon grease trap to the building I purchased as required by the Town of Prosper (both of those massive vaults are stacked on top of each other under ground).

CONTEST!!!

If you own commercial property in North Texas and the building is less than 15,000 square feet and you have the same or bigger size grease trap as me then dinner for 4 is on me!
