I will also be training a new employee (Edwin) who is wonderful, and I’d love for the regulars to get a chance to meet him. He was in the bakery at Thritway and I think he’ll be an absolute assent to the store. He’s personable and joyful - just what the store needs!
As a special addition, not advertised on the napkin, if you bring FIVE popular or classic titles (trade paperback or hardback) I will give you 2 free USED BOOKS, or ONE paperback NEW BOOK. You know I don’t do trades, so you better jump on the opportunity. (Kids books will be included, but you can only trade for other kids books.) I’ll also add it to your account, so you’ll get loyalty too.
The books must be free from damage:
- water, mold, dirt
- tight binding
- dust jacket must be present on hardback (small tears are permissible, if you aren’t sure bring it down. The newer/popular books I’m more likely to trade with you.)
- no writing in kids books, if it’s a literary treasure or rare title/first edition I will probably take it still.
Absolutely NO MASS MARKET. I love you, but I have enough mass market to build a speciality store with just this type of book. They are hard to get rid of even for $1 and they accumulate quickly in my garage.
NO large mass produced/collector sets from the fifties (westerns like Zane Grey or Louis l’amour, I have several full sets in my garage.) the expectation is Easton/Franklin press. If you are giving me those, I promise I will give you something good for them 🚨
No magazines or pre internet days DIY books. I would love photography books, I’ve had a young girl ask a lot. Jenny Han is another I’m hunting for. If you have a hardback Jurassic Park I promise you will be grateful for my offer 👀❤️ I am also hunting for pre 1900s Bibles, I’ve had several requests for them. If you have good condition bibles (any edition) I’d also love those. We sell a lot of Bibles.

Please please please come down! I am transitioning the store right now and need a little nest egg for the transition. Because I am going to another job, and I’m training - it ain’t cheap to transition. This sale is to pay my new employees and ensure they are well taken care of as I leave the store for a new job.
