Why are our moules frites so good?
Because we use mussels from Pemaquid Mussel Farm in Maine.

Rope-grown in the open ocean, harvested to order, and prized for being meatier, cleaner, fresher, and more flavorful. Grit-free, beautiful in the shell, and raised with next-generation sustainable practices, these are the kind of mussels that make all the difference.

Paired with crisp fries and a glass of wine, this is one of our favorite ways to celebrate great seafood.

Introducing our new Confit Pork Shoulder! We’ve taken a classic French technique, slow-cooking the pork shoulder confit-style until it is incredibly rich and fork-tender and paired it with a vibrant, glossy glaze made from Dijon mustard and sweet blackcurrant. It is the ultimate crossover of French culinary tradition and the sweet, tangy soul of an American-style BBQ glaze.

From Paris to the Bayou: The French Roots of Our Chicken & Andouille Gumbo 🍲✨

​Have you ever wondered why a classic Louisiana Gumbo feels right at home on our French bistro menu at Kristine’s?

​While Gumbo is famously the pride of the American South, its DNA is deeply connected to old-world French cooking. When French settlers arrived in Louisiana in the 1700s, they brought their foundational culinary techniques with them, most importantly, the art of the roux.

​Faced with a new landscape, those French cooks adapted. They swapped traditional European ingredients for what grew locally, blending their techniques with West African traditions and Native American Choctaw influences.
