🚨Bittersweet Update

After a lot of thought, we have made the decision to begin a rebrand of our company. On December 1st, Two Guys Local Bites will officially become Local Bites Food and Drink.

In 2023, we began the venture as a food stand/food truck. The Two Guys name really fit because it was fun, it fit the business model, and honestly it was a play on a family joke. We carried that name over when we opened the brick and mortar Preston Hollow location in the summer of 2024.

Why?

When we opened the brick and mortar location we wanted a place where local (and not local) people could gather and enjoy great local food made by local people. We feel that the Local Bites Food and Drink rebrand fits this concept better while keeping the local feel. And the truth is that the “two guys” are more behind the scene now and not the ones doing the everyday hands on work.

What will change?

The great food and people are here to stay. We are not changing our food or our recipes. You may notice some name changes “Guys Burger” and “Guys Aioli” won’t work with the new name but it will still be the same product you know and love. We plan to focus in on our daily handmade award winning burgers a little more. We also plan to work hard on our Preston Hollow b**r garden this winter to open the spring with a new, beautiful b**r garden experience that truly takes advantage of the beautiful Catskill Creek that literally runs through our b**r garden.

So over the next few months, you may notice some slow changes as we begin our rebrand which will be official on December 1st.

Thank you folks so much for your extra patience last night. As we mentioned in a previous post, we had a recent staffing issue that has left us quite understaffed. Thank you so much to all of our wonderful customers for being understanding. We love you all. We do this for you.

We do this because we love it and we love the community. We still have yet to turn a profit on our restaurants...hopefully in time this will come. But we want you to know we don't do it for the money, we do it for the love of what we do and anytime things take a little bit longer or there is a mistake - it is NEVER intentional. We always strive for the best experience for our customers.

And a HUGE shout out to the staff last night who held it down on a ridiculously busy night. Thank you Alli, Jordan, and Marjorie - we love you guys!

Thank you Preston Hollow! We love you all and we appreciate you so much - more than you know.

To our 2-star Google Reviewer from last night - sorry we couldn't reach our expectations. That things took a little too long and that we gave you "too much" food.

We need to brag.

Recently, things have been tough in Preston Hollow. We had some recent sudden staffing issues. A few weeks ago, we lost thousands of dollars of product when a tractor trailer turning around in our parking lot ripped the electric connection right off our building. Our food expenses have been rising quickly to keep our product at the top quality, yet we haven’t once increased prices. It’s been crazy - emotionally, financially, logistically.

Today we need to focus on the positive. As many of our regulars know, Alli took over as full time manager to run our Preston Hollow location back in April so that we could focus on opening our Germantown location. Without needing to say anything, she’s been doing an excellent job.

Today, Alli was working by herself working on preparing our new specials and helping our customers as always when the health inspector walked in to do the annual unannounced health inspection. After a thorough review, we were given EXCELLENT compliance with ZERO food violations whatsoever.

To our Preston Hollow team - Alli, Marjorie, Alannah, Lindsey, Jordan (and our summer peeps Kenzie and Caitlin!) - thank you. Thank you for all the hard work you do. For always caring about the work you do and our customers. And ultimately for keeping our restaurant sparkling clean even during the toughest of times. We are so grateful for you. We are lucky to have you. You deserve the recognition for all of your hard work.

To our customers - thank you for your continued support. You never know what’s actually behind the counters when you order out. But with us, you know it’s cleanliness and friendliness.
