A lot of people have asked me how The Luxe Loaf got started, and I realized I’ve never really shared the story.
For years, I worked two jobs while raising my three kids. Like so many parents, I was constantly juggling schedules, school events, bills, and work. We made it work because that’s what parents do.
Then in March, the company I’d worked for for several years told us they had lost their contract, and by the end of April I’d be out of a job. It was scary, but after a lot of conversations, we made a plan. I would stay home, focus on the kids, and finally chase the dream I’d always talked about. Their dad was going to put all of us on his insurance, and for the first time in a long time, it felt like maybe everything was going to be okay.
Five days after I left my job—and just five days after celebrating our youngest’s 11th birthday—our world shattered. Bo, the father of my children, was suddenly taken from us.
In an instant, everything changed.
I had no job, no insurance, and no idea what the future looked like. I was terrified.
But I also knew one thing: I can bake.
Baking has always been my happy place. It’s where my mind finds peace, where my hands know exactly what to do, and where I feel closest to myself. So I took a chance on a tiny dream and started this little micro bakery.
Because of The Luxe Loaf—and because of every single one of you—I get to stay home with my children while we navigate the hardest season of our lives. I get to be there when they need me, make memories with them, and still provide for our family by doing something I truly love.
The funny thing is… I probably work more hours now than I ever did before. There are late nights, early mornings, sore feet, and a sink that’s never empty. But somehow, it never feels like work.
Every order, every kind message, every photo you share, every recommendation, and every comment telling me you loved something I made means more than I can ever put into words. Those comments are worth more to me than money because they remind me that this little dream is making people happy.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

The Luxe Loaf is so much more than bread. It’s healing. It’s hope. It’s my family’s fresh start.
