All set up for the Christmas Market in the Ruth Butler building at the U.P. State Fair Grounds today from 10am until 5pm EST. We have jams, mini breads, cookies, turtles, biscotti, pizelles, candied pecans, canned goods, gift baskets, red velvet and pumpkin cheesecake, oh my!!! Stop down and see us and all of the other fantastic crafters, bakers, artisans and local small business. All have worked so hard to bring you beautifully crafted creations made with much love, creativety and heart for you to enjoy personally and with folks you love. Stop down and see us for all of your Holiday Gift giving needs. We are at the Midtown Mall in Iron Mountain this Friday 9am until 7pm and Saturday 9am until 4pm CST. Grandma Dottie has been extra busy again making all of your Wilson Creek favorites. Mini breads, jams, cookies, biscotti, pizelles and more!! Hopefully it doesn't take this kind of a tragedy to unite us again as a country. Just like 24 years ago there were foreign countries trying to destroy us and it is happening again now. How better to do it than to inject lies and mistrust then sit back and watch as we unravel and destroy ourselves from within. There should be no right or left, period. We are simply all humans. Yet here we are after another shooting pointing fingers and blaming sides without any facts. And we all fall for it and fuel more hate and division. Not the way I choose to honor and remember all that died on September 11th. I CHOOSE (because, yes it is a choice) to spread love, and peace instead of hate, blame and division. May you all look within and find peace and love in your hearts. Remove yourselves from the negatives that engulf us and do something kind for a stranger today. Hold the door open, buy their coffee or simply smile, say hi and have a friendly conversation. If we don't force ourselves to get back to this then we are only doomed to repeat the mistakes of history at the expense of many lives. We can do better, we must do better!

Well, just after our fourth year anniversary, it is time for us to say goodbye. This Sunday August 17th will be our last day open as Wilson Creek Café. We can’t thank you enough for all of the love and support you have shown to us over the years! And for all of the incredible memories made. Earlier this past February we were approached about selling the restaurant. We decided to take the opportunity to help make their dreams come true just as we did for ourselves. We are very excited for Nel and Brett to finally be able to fulfill her childhood dream of owning this café! They plan to be back open very shortly as the Buck-N-Ham Café with the same wonderful staff that you have come to love and cherish. We know they will be an incredible addition to the community and encourage all of you to stop by and enjoy a meal with them.

If you have a gift certificate from the café, please use it by this Sunday. If you are not able to, please message us and it can be applied towards our farm products at Wilson Creek Gardens. This does NOT include any certificates purchased from the RRN or Frog shopping shows.

We hope you are able to stop in for one last meal with us or even just a hug or a smile! As far as mom and I and the rest of the family, we turn this page with enduring humbleness, eternal gratefulness, full hearts and maybe a watery eye or two from the love, sweat and tears that went into building it. But, as we always have and will continue to be, we are grateful for the opportunities set in front of us and are very much looking forward to the next epic adventures that await us!!! ***UPDATE: Greg and Frank have been in contact. Hope they have a great and happy friendship reunion!!***

I have a request from a gentleman by the name of Frank. He is looking for an old buddy he used to know up here named Greg Christiansen. Greg used to work selling log homes for Cedar River Lumber Company and would be in his 70's. If anyone knows Greg or of his whereabouts, please let me know and we can exchange their numbers so they can reunite their friendship.
