Well… I did a thing. 🎙️
If you've ever wondered how Local OBX and the Localobx.buzz came to be — or why I'm so ridiculously passionate about keeping local businesses visible on the Outer Banks — this is probably the closest thing to the whole story I've told in one sitting.
I sat down for the Market Minutes Podcast, presented by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau and produced by Soundside Market & Ignite Live, and we talked about the businesses I've built over the years, the lessons learned along the way, and how all of those seemingly random adventures eventually led to LocalOBX. com.
Because LocalOBX was never going to be just another directory.
It's about making it easier for people to discover the businesses, makers, events and people that give the Outer Banks its personality — and giving small local businesses a place to actually be found. ❤️
Huge thank you to Visit The Outer Banks for presenting Market Minutes, and to Soundside Market & Ignite Live for producing it — and especially for giving local businesses, makers and slightly over-caffeinated entrepreneurs like me a chance to tell our stories. I'm incredibly grateful to be included in this season.
And yes… apparently I can talk about local business for an entire podcast. Absolutely no one is surprised. 😂
