Our names are Mark and Tara we both were raised in South suburbs of Chicago, IL. We have been together since we were teenagers, got married in 2006, where we started our family in South Chicago Heights, IL. Chicago, IL is where you will find one of the best places to have an Italian pizza. We both grew up loving to cook and make our own style of foods, host dinners and love watching people enjoy o

ur creations. We moved out to Powell TN in 2017. We always wanted to open our own pizza place. In 2021 we decided to set out to blend our Italian roots to the South, and to create the ultimate, Italian pizza in Knoxville. We brought years of food experience and assembled a team of family, friends and neighbors for endless tasting, fine-tuning and critiques to be able to create our very own pizza food truck in Knoxville. The vision of Southern Yankee pizza is to create a pizzeria that would be the first place thought of whenever someone thinks about pizza. Our vision is predicated on the values that we cherish: Customer satisfaction, family bonding, good eats and good times. We look forward to growing with you and starting this journey together. You may ask yourself, why Southern Yankee Pizza? Simple our passion for cooking for decades has helped us create our own unique dough and sauce combination that we are sure will leave your mouth watering. Our version of Chicago style deep dish and thin crust will make you feel like you have experienced the flavor of the South side of Chicago. We invite you to come and have some good conversation and great pizza with us.

We apologize for not posting our schedule last week. Our family experienced an unexpected loss, and we needed some time to be with loved ones during this difficult period. The loss has left a huge void in our hearts, and we appreciate everyone's understanding, support, and kindness.

With that being said, we are sharing our schedule for this week and look forward to getting back out and seeing all of you. We hope you'll come out and support us this Saturday!
