I initially baked them during the holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving only. And I would give them away as gifts to friends, coworkers, and neighbors. I have a really good product. And I should share the homemade deliciousness of my family's traditional sweets with others who enjoy homemade desserts. My grandmother Naomi Louise Bradley was born and raised in McKinney Texas. I watched her with wide eyed amazement prepare her homemade sweet potato pies, when I was very young during the holidays. I couldn't get enough of them. When my grandmother died in '96', it was very hard for me to accept. So I would bake her pies to help me feel that she was still with me. And I do believe she is
