This evening I’ve dimmed the lights for the last time, as tomorrow Nicole Bower of the Cluckin Cafe will be taking over We have had many conversations, and all I can say is WOW, I couldn’t have hand picked a person better to continue on with my vision . I’m surely going to be leaving a huge piece of my heart with the business and more so with Vermont, the Poultney and Wells Community, and the dearest friends made.
* To our regulars, who visited each day as if they were walking into their own living rooms sharing their lives…. I thank you!
*To my sweet kids that joined me behind the counter to make their own sundaes when I was too tired (or least pretended to be)…… I thank you!
* To all our amazing staff, managers, Chef Brian, Chef Don, Carrie, Susie, Lisa, Dale, Karie, Aletha, and of course Charlie who brought a smile to everyone…….I thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
* To Nancy and Paula for working out all the nitty gritty getting started, along with all of the fabulous contractors that helped build this little gem on the lake, especially Don Smith, that took my drawing on a napkin and made it a reality, and Travis Baptie, of Loomis Paint and Flooring, who has gone above and beyond for me and Otto……Thank you!

*To our ice fisherman. We loved keeping our tanks stocked to the gills with your winter bait…. I thank you !
*To all the musicians who kept us singing and stomping on the front porch and on our bigger stage, especially our friends with Whiskey River…..I thank you!
*To our hunting community, who never failed to thrill us with their harvests at the check-in…. I thank you !
*To my fellow businesses, especially Michelle and Tom Bates of Wellsmere Farms who welcomed Ottos and promoted our business from the start. In addition welcomed me into their Farm Family, which is the craziest, but most loyal family you could find… Thank you!
* And to all my furry four legged friends that came in for a pup cup and homemade treats from our kitchen… and even for their photos with Santa!….Thank you!
