💧 Something as basic and essential as clean water is something many stray dogs simply don’t have.
In Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, many dogs are abandoned far from towns and villages, where access to fresh water and food can be difficult.
Our partners and volunteers at Rescatando Peludos. SC go out and do what they can — even when that means carrying heavy containers of water across the beach to reach them. 🐕💧
This is what rescue looks like too.
It’s not only spay & neuter surgeries or adoptions.
It’s water. Food. Transportation. Medical care.
And people willing to show up. ❤️🐾
Through Tacos for Tails, we’re working alongside these local rescuers to help them continue caring for animals who have no one else.

❤️🐾 Transparency Matters
One of the promises we made when we started Tacos for Tails was to always be transparent.
This report shows some of the funds that have already been sent to our trusted rescue partners in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca to help support:
🐶 Spay & neuter clinics
🏥 Emergency veterinary care
🍲 Food & recovery support
🚕 Transportation for rescued animals
This past weekend, our rescue partners accomplished something incredible:
❤️ 53 dogs and cats were spayed and neutered.
The surgeries have already been completed because the veterinarian trusted the rescuers and agreed to perform the procedures before all the funds were available.
Now we need your help to pay for those 53 life-changing surgeries.
Every Taco Tuesday meal, every donation, every share, and every act of kindness helps us continue this work.
We know we can't save every animal.
But together, we can prevent future suffering and give more animals a chance at a better life.

When we started Tacos for Tails, we knew we couldn't save every stray animal.
But we also knew that doing nothing would never change anything.
Today, we'd like to invite you to help us build something that can make a lasting difference.

🐾❤️ Last weekend was a day filled with hope, hard work, and heartbreak.
Together with our rescue partners in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, 53 dogs and cats were spayed and neutered.
Each one represents a future where fewer puppies and kittens will be born into life on the streets.
The day wasn't easy.
Volunteers traveled long distances, transported animals, cared for them as they recovered, and even suffered dog bites while trying to help.
Sadly, one elderly female dog passed away. She had spent years giving birth on the streets and was still having puppies late in life.
Her story reminds us why prevention matters.
Every spay and neuter surgery means one less animal facing a lifetime of hunger, abandonment, and suffering.
This is why Tacos for Tails exists.
Not to change the whole world overnight... but to change the world for one animal at a time.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Taco Tuesday, donated, shared our mission, or simply believed in what we are building.
Together, compassion travels beyond borders. ❤️🐾
