While we are in conversations with partners to discuss the expansion of in local restaurants, we want to share another awesome local reuse project from our friends at Cradle to Wave.

Cradle to Wave is on a mission to reimagine and repurpose apparel. πŸ„β€β™€οΈ

To start, they are collecting donated, worn out or mismatched surf suits/gear to salvage for mending projects. Keep an eye out for this VW van πŸ‘€ with the Cradle to Wave Repair & Rewear sign and place donated items in the metal bin.

Repair & Rewear is in the incubator stage so those donated items will be used for tests in service of a future launch of a repair service. πŸ’•πŸŒŠ

We are SO EXCITED to release our Reusable Seacoast pilot case study just in time for 🌎 ✨ Spoiler alert, NH is ready for reuse! This study is intended to inspire and help guide other reuse pilots around the state.

We want to once again thank our funders and participating restaurants for being leaders in the NH πŸ™Œ Kristine and I presented on the pilot at the NH Listens and technical input session this past week, to assist with developing measures within NH’s Comprehensive Climate Action Plan. Check out the next one in May by heading to carsey.unh.edu/new-hampshire-listens

In the face of extreme challenges to progress on from fossil fuels (including the rampant production of single-use plastics) and attack on we have to keep moving forward with scaling up solutions in our communities. There is 🌎 πŸ’™πŸ’š

This pilot would not have been successful without support from all members of our budding reuse community who are doing their part to reduce needless single-use plastic waste and protect public health. πŸŒŽπŸ’š With 3/4 restaurants continuing post pilot, we look forward to seeing expansion to other businesses. For now, we just want you to know how grateful we are πŸ™

Perhaps you had the chance to look up during the solar eclipse earlier this month, be still for a few minutes, and marvel at our planet’s unique gifts that make it possible for us humans to exist. We hope you’ll also take a few minutes during today, Earth Day, to contemplate and commit to an action this year that will help shift the culture from to . Whether it’s advocating for a local ordinance like or a state law or checking out a reusable container, we need everyone to play a part in collectively shifting the tide. It’s and we can’t let plastics win. Plastics are plan B as renewables claim more market share. Production is ramping up and like chemical recycling are being promoted to keep the status quo. Cast your vote for the planet, and your health, by refusing plastic whenever you can. Check our stories throughout the day 🌎 πŸ’š
