Hey friends — we miss you!
Since we shut the doors, we’ve been getting toooo many DMs from people asking about Haps Sauce!!

We’re just so glad everyone’s still talking about it, trying to track down a recipe, and keeping the love alive. Honestly, we’re flattered ❤️

So why not make it easy? Here’s the one and only HAPS SAUCE recipe. The same one you had on burgers, tenders, and roast beef, now in your own kitchen.

And don’t go too far… within the next few weeks we’ll be releasing our horseradish sauce recipe as well — with a fun surprise announcement to go with it. Stay tuned.

HAPs is officially closing July 25th.

With a baby due any day (LITERALLY) and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring our Haps Sauce, horseradish, our spice blends, and more to retail shelves across New England, we’ve made the decision to close up shop and go all-in on the next chapter.

And we’re not going out quietly……

We’re incredibly proud to (soon) announce that we’ll be passing the torch to a truly legendary roast beef crew—an amazing family who shares our love for this food, this style, and this community.

They’ve got what we’ve got—and more. And we genuinely believe Portsmouth is going to love them!!
This isn’t a goodbye—it’s the next evolution of great beef in this town!

Final stretch hours:
Monday–Saturday, 11AM–3PM until July 25th.
We’ve officially discontinued breakfast so we can focus entirely on the lunch menu that made Haps what it is.

Here’s what’s coming and what to lookout for:
• HALF OFF BEEF DAY (Date TBA)
• EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY – 100% of sales after tax will be split among our amazing staff as a thank-you for everything they’ve given to this shop!!!

We love you. We thank you. And we hope to see you for one last beef.

HAPS UPDATE:
Say hey to (some of) your Haps crew: Barry, Tyler, Amanda (carrying sweet Josephine, due this April!), and Linzie.

With a new baby girl joining the team soon, we’re shifting gears a bit to keep Haps steady, fun, and flavorful. We’ll be open Monday–Saturday from 8AM to 3PM, serving up all the breakfast and lunch favorites you love.

Evening hours are on hold for now—but not forever. Our dream is to bring them back once we’ve settled into this new chapter.

Thanks for understanding, thanks for being patient—and most of all, thanks for making Haps such a special place to be.

We got TWO slicers up and running again, and that means DOUBLE the beefy goodness. All week long, after 11:55 AM daily, we’re slicing our classic HOUSE BEEF and our new SPICY GARLIC-INFUSED BEEF — it’s juicy, it’s got a kick, and it’s happening ALL WEEK.

P.S. Starting in April... WE’RE OPEN ON SUNDAYS! Yup. Every. Single. One.
