Feeny - DIPA - 8% - Cryo Mosaic and oodles of Citra. This one taught us a thing or two.

Heirloom 45 - Malt Liquor - 6% - We used heirloom corn from our friends & to create the malt liquor we all wished we could drink in our 20’s.

Hai Ikki - Rice Saison with secondary fermentation in neutral white wine barrels with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis for months and months and months - 6% - Funky pineapple and the good part of coconut. Very limited.

Certain things you can’t put into words. Things like the gratitude we feel coming on a decade in the beer biz. Fortunately, our living isn’t putting things into words, it’s pouring them into steins and stanges, packing them into kegs and cans. Fortunately, you’ve always been there to walk through our doors, sit on our benches, and enjoy those things. More importantly, enjoy each other. For TEN years, you’ve been doing it and that’s something to celebrate. Which we will.

Allow us to introduce our two featured judges for the Sarah Orne Jewett Flash Poetry Competition with . We’ve extended the submission deadline to April 22nd (prompt: Strangers; word count: 65 words or less), and these two poets will not only help crown the winner but also read their works at our Poems + Pints celebration on Wednesday, April 29th. is a poet, performer, and photographer based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He hosts “Beats & Words” a monthly poetry open mic at Loaded Question, and “Myles Burr Presents” a bimonthly poetry and music showcase at The Press Room. He fronts the band Myles Burr & The Last Straws. He is the author of eight chapbooks, his work is featured in five anthologies, and he has published one full length collection. Early Last year, Burr traveled to France to Château d’Orquevaux International Artist Residency for three weeks to work on a new collection of poetry and music. Burr will be returning to France in November 2026 for a stint at Studio Faire an artist residency in Southern France. In August 2024 Myles Burr & The Last Straws worked with Leesta Vall Sound Recordings to produce several one-of-a-kind direct to vinyl live recordings. Myles Burr’s live performances blend poetry and music into an entrancing and transcendent theatrical experience. Voyeuristic Sun, Myles Burr & The Last Straws first feature length album, was released in August of 2024. Their EP entitled Futuristic Dread And Excitement, was released in July 2023.

Ever since she learned that poems do not need to rhyme, has been flinging emotions at the page like an action-painter slings paint at a canvas. Once she got over her fear of microphones, she has been burning them up at every local reading she can find. Her work has appeared in Rat’s Ass Review Journal, Sledgehammer, Solstice, and Underground Writers Association, among others. Her first collection of poetry, And The Form Falls Away (2018), was published by Bee Monk Press.Lauren WB Vermette is currently serving as the 14th Poet Laureate of Portsmouth, NH

📝FLASH POETRY COMPETITION 📝

As we kick off , we are excited to reprise our collaboration with celebrating the prolific South Berwick poet and novelist, Sarah Orne Jewett, with our second annual Flash Poetry Competition. A noted realist and regionalist, SOJ captured Maine’s coastal life through richly drawn characters and natural settings. Her writing emphasized nature and human connection, and we are calling on all inspired poets to create a work exploring this year’s theme, “Strangers,” in 65 words or less.

This year’s judges include the infamous and Portsmouth’s Poet Laurete . Winners will receive cash prizes and the Grand Prize Poem will be featured on the 2027 can design of Deephaven, a helles lager brewed with New England-grown malt and hops.

The Flash Poetry Competition is part of a broader effort to spotlight overlooked voices through art and storytelling. Follow the link in the bio for the submission form. Deadline for submisions is April 20th and all entrants are invited to attend our Poems + Pints event on April 29th, where finalists will not only be announced, but encouraged to read their submissions.

This friday (3.27) we’ll be throwing a Zine & Beer Release Party (woohoo!) featuring a limited-run, one-of-a-kind Russ Pope art zine, and a limited-run, one-of-a-kind brown ale, The Beer You Can Drink All Day & All Night…which is precisely how we intend to spend our Friday.

Swing by anytime, day or night, and you may even catch Russ to sign your print or sketch your noggin.
