Before Nicholas was a Portland restaurant, it was a family trying to build a life. 🤎
In the early 1980s, war in Beirut brought our family to the United States in search of safety and a new beginning. A few years later, in 1985, our parents Nicholas and Linda put everything they had into a small restaurant... with no restaurant experience, no hired help, and their family beside them.
What began with pizza and calzones soon became something closer to home: the Lebanese dishes they grew up making and sharing.
And this photo? This was us. Aprons on, kids in the restaurant, everyone pitching in. It wasn't just a business. It was how our family stayed together, built a life, and eventually shared a little piece of Lebanon with Portland.
More than 40 years later, so much has changed. But the heart of Nicholas hasn't.
Family, food, and a table with room for everyone. 🤎
