For the past few months, we’ve been asking what it means to be a rebel. Tomorrow, we get to celebrate the people putting it into action.

Join us Wednesday, October 7 at 11 a.m. as we honor the 2026 Rebel Blend Fund award recipients and the creative, community-minded work they’re bringing to Maine.

Since 1998, every pound of Rebel Blend sold or brewed has helped support Maine artists and small arts organizations with ideas that spark conversation, build community, and encourage us to see things differently. Tomorrow is where all of that comes together.

We’ll also have limited-edition **Be a Rebel** merch available, so you can take a little rebellion with you wherever you go.

The ceremony is free and open to the public. We hope you’ll join us at 1 Diamond Street. ❤️

It begins with the people who grow it, the communities built around it and generations of knowledge shared along the way.

This International Coffee Day, we’re recognizing the people and relationships across the global coffee community, especially the women whose work helps move coffee forward at every stage.

Today, October 1, 10% of Coffee By Design sales will benefit the International Women’s Coffee Alliance and its work supporting opportunity and economic equity for women throughout coffee.

It connects us to coworkers, regulars, neighbors, wholesale partners and people throughout the larger coffee community.

This National Coffee Day, we’re celebrating those connections while supporting work toward a more equitable coffee industry.

Today, September 29, 10% of Coffee By Design store and online sales will benefit the Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity.

We’re excited to welcome author Ifrah F. Ahmed to Coffee By Design on October 2 from 6–8 PM as part of Midnimo: Unity, a celebration of Somali food, music, culture, and community taking place October 2 and 3 in Portland and Lewiston.

Other events include a Community Meet and Greet Potluck at Portland Community Squash on October 2 from 1–3 PM.

On October 3, the celebration continues with a Community Meet and Greet Potluck from 12:30–2:30 PM at Maine MILL in Lewiston, followed by Ilkacase Qeys and Dalmar Yare in concert at Agora. Doors open at 6 PM and the show runs from 7–10 PM.

All events are free. Tickets are required through Eventbrite for the concert.
