We stand with all of our communities who are being unjustly targeted, and particularly the most vulnerable new Mainers being demonized to distract from this regime’s own criminal behavior–they are our fellow neighbors, students, teachers, builders, caretakers, health workers, artists, musicians, colleagues, friends.
All Mainers benefit greatly from their presence, and everyone in this country is afforded due process, regardless of immigration status. This regime’s illegal assault on our people, both here and around the country, will not stand, but we must weather it while it’s here. ICE is not welcome in our business. We are ALL one people. We are ALL one community. An assault on anyone is an assault on all of us.
We are again sharing here helpful local resources with information about what to do should you encounter ICE or witness their activities, whether as a victim or an observer.
