Today is the day! Blue tea (purple pandan) is back on ice here at the shop, from now until it gets cold again. That means our beloved Holley Blue (iced purple pandan and oat milk with a touch of vanilla) is also back, and you can really lose yourself in the trippy swirls of cream, man. Super groovy!

It's Zoe's last day! You have under three hours to grab a delicious drink from her or just kinda chat about whatever, but you have the rest of your life to get her to put a sick tatt on your body. Make your appointments for at today! We're going to miss her round these parts, and we hope our customers still come in even though their their odds of encountering Zoe have greatly diminished.

We will be closed tomorrow, Friday January 30th for the nationwide general strike against tyranny, the gestapo, extra constitutional murder, extreme human rights abuses and capitalism writ large. We are just barely able to get by being closed for one day, but most tiny businesses such as ours are not able to. We encourage boycotting all big businesses as much as possible especially on this day, but thousands of people and immigrants still need our (preferably cash-based) support to survive. We appreciate the irony of posting this on a Meta platform where it will certainly get throttled out of existence, but this is where we are. Please take care of each other. We love you. Crush ICE.

Destiny! It has been foretold since the dawn of Carnelian Coffee that we would eventually stock our friend (and customer) 's rockhounding guide once it existed. And here it is! It's a beautiful and informative guide to excellent and often underrated spots over our corner of the country, as well as the ethics, sustainability, indigenous respect, and stewardship of the hobby and the land. It's a must have for anyone picking up rocks in the area.

There is also this really sick logbook for your own notes while in the field, that i think pairs perfectly with the guidebooks, and we have a combo deal for you to save a few bucks when you buy both. If only the weather was cooperating...

Lastly, we know Alison would want everyone to know that we have our delicious decaf beans back in stock, and there's enough for everyone! You can honor her by picking up a copy of her book and a bag of decaf for the holidays. Perfect gifts, but we think it's fine if it's just for you.

**BEANS ANNOUNCEMENT** We're bummed that we haven't had any bags of decaf beans for a couple weeks, but supply has been tight in recent months, and we're going through more decaf than ever. We'd rather not compromise on quality, so we've had to wait to replenish our stocks until the good stuff arrives. Luckily, our beloved barista Michal roasts a mean bean of their own as , and we're serving their delicious Colombian decaf until our classic offering gets here.

All this is to say, we will have fresh bags of our sugar cane process decaf, washed Guatemala, natural Ethiopia, and honey process Costa Rica in abundant supply this Tuesday, December 23rd (which just happens to be our 8th birthday, no big deal) at the latest! The wait is nearly over!

And remember to hit up for another source of great small batch, high-quality coffee!

Okay folks, we're ready to give this another go. Starting now we'll be open until 4 every day of the week! Help us at least break even by coming in after 3 sometimes, especially if you don't normally come in because we close too early. It would be an unmitigated disaster if I had to print new signs in two months, I think we can all agree.

We're very excited to see you after 3:00 (but not after 3:55) for the rest of the year and on into 2026!
