About Mississippi Pizza
In the late nineties, when Mississippi Avenue was home to just a handful of struggling businesses, visionary entrepreneurs Philip and Stephanie Stanton saw the potential few others could. They had an idea for a neighborhood pizza pub that would be based on three fundamental guiding principles: great pizza, family friendly live music and entertainment, and above all, serving

the local community. In 2001 that dream became a reality when the Stantons proudly opened the doors to The Mississippi Pizza Pub. Within just a few years it became known as a staple of the local Portland music scene with some of the best pie in town to boot. With the addition of an elegant martini bar known as the Atlantis Lounge in 2004, and Gluten-Free Pizza in 2008, “The Mississippi” firmly established itself as the premier destination on what is now a thriving six-block entertainment and dining corridor on historic Mississippi Avenue. With more than a decade of awesome pizza and rocking music shows on the books, “The Mississippi” keeps chugging along, hosting over 600 live events, including Bingo, Temporary Lesbian bar, Trivia, and serving over 30,000 customers a year! "Moody Cienematic Groove" Gleneden is a 3 piece band formed in 2025 by local musicians Dave Hurley, Aric Naue and Greg Rubin.Their evocative sound blurs the lines between rock, jazz, R&B and ambient music to create unique and dynamic soundscapes. Their demo "Blur Light" (https://gleneden.bandcamp.com/album/blur-light) was recorded live in one take without edits or overdubs. Gleneden has had songs played on local radio stations and continues to play regularly throughout the Portland area.

"Lucid Dreamrock" Lower Skies is a 3-piece instrumental band from Portland, Oregon, formed of Boone Johnson on guitar, Alan Stewart on bass, and Tony Howard on drums. With a focus on strong, evolving melodies, compelling harmonies and post-rock dynamics, their music constructs dream-like voluminous landscapes.
