We're a fun-loving sandwich shop with two locations in North Portland. We make stuff from scratch and offer a range of responsibly-sourced meats, as well as house-made vegan and gluten-free options! Let's get right to it: after over 10 years in North Portland, it's been decided that it's time to close Brass Tacks Sandwiches. We'll be calling it for good on October 9. Keep your eyes peeled for details on our going away party!

We've braved a decade of ups and downs, and we were extremely fortunate to make it through the most harrowing early stages of the pandemic intact. We owe that all to our community, to sandwich lovers old and new who've stuck with us through times that have been challenging, heartbreaking, inspiring, and beautiful. We love and appreciate you all!

Rest assured that it was not tragedy that put a fork in this one: we're going out on TOP, babies! Still, after a decade of countless sandwiches, we're ready to move on to something different. Ten years is a long time to do anything in one place, but we've worked hard and have been lucky to weather all kinds of changes. We're proud of what we've all been able to accomplish.
 
New projects abound. We're hard at work on getting .party ready to be sold around town and beyond. There are also whispers of a new adult drinking establishment getting louder all the time. Keep it locked here, and when the news is ready for the world, we'll make sure you're the first to know. 

Parting is such sweet sorrow, and sure, we're feelin' it. But dry those eyes, because the next phase is going to be even better.

Check it out: here's our take on the Oregon lobster roll!

Oregon bay shrimp (featured on the sustainable fish list!) salad topped with our green sauce, lettuce, and a little slice of lemon on bread toasted with dulce-infused butter (dulce, incidentally, is also a mega-sustainable seaweed, to say nothing of its being delicious). Lots of fresh herbs in the mix, great texture, killer umami. Oh, and it won't be around long, so there's that.
