Just in on our site: a fresh batch of Monkey King (Taiping Hou Kui)! This brew is quite sweet and floral. The leaves of Monkey King are pressed between layers of cloth in a bamboo basket, and the pressing cloth imprints them with an intricate crisscrossing pattern.

Update: Teahouse hours will be going back to 11am-6pm Wednesday-Sunday. Thanks everyone who took advantage of the extended hours recently. It has been great to have evenings open and we’ll keep you posted as soon as we’re able to do it again. 🍵✨

We’re looking forward to seeing you at Tea Festival Portland this coming weekend! At our booth, we’ll have stations where you can sign up to pour tea for yourself and others. This will be done in 30 minute slots and is a great opportunity to connect with other tea lovers and to share your skills or learn new ones. We’ll be brewing gongfu style as well as offering a station for matcha.
Come visit us to Be a Tea Maker or simply to sample. Tea Makers will receive some free tea from us.

Calling all tea enthusiasts! Our gold sponsor The Tao of Tea will have tables and mats set up with tea pouring stations at their booth at TeaFestPDX this year.

You can sign up for a 30 minute slot to pour tea for others at their booth (there will be 3 stations).

The Tao of Tea will provide the tea, hot water, and brewing vessels, and the tea maker will come away with some free tea as a thank you.

Tea aficionados & beginners are welcome. Staff will be on hand to assist those who want guidance. Feel free to bring your own tea ware as well.

If you aren't interested in pouring, stop by and sit at a station to enjoy some tea 🍵

The goal is to promote tea culture and make friends - thank you to the Tao of Tea for providing this experience!

***Starting Saturday, June 22.***
The first 15 customers in after 6 p.m. on Saturday 6/22 will receive a free ‘small wonder’ tea tin.

Our hours are expanding to include evenings on Fridays and Saturdays! Kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m. We look forward to welcoming you during these later hours for a unique and cozy evening experience!

The cups are now in production and we are excited to share with you the 2024 cups! The Tao of Tea chose these lovely jewel colored cups for you to sip and sample tea at the festival, and hopefully years to come.

Don't forget to drop by the teahouse on Belmont for some tea and food if you are in the area or loose leaf teas and teaware next door!
